What is Cytotec?
Cytotec tablets contain misoprostol, a prostaglandin analogue that mimics the protective effects of natural prostaglandins in the stomach and intestines.
Uses:
- Treatment and Prevention of Peptic Ulcers:
- Protects the lining of the stomach and intestines by reducing acid production and increasing the secretion of protective mucus.
- Helps prevent ulcers caused by nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) in patients at high risk of developing gastric or duodenal ulcers.
