What is Creon 10000?

Creon 10000 is a combined enzyme replacement therapy designed for individuals with deficient exocrine pancreatic secretions. It is used to treat conditions such as cystic fibrosis, chronic pancreatitis, post-pancreatectomy, ductal obstructions due to pancreatic cancer, pancreatic insufficiency, and steatorrhea from malabsorption syndrome and post-gastrectomy (Billroth II and total).

How Does Creon 10000 Work?

Creon contains a mix of lipase, protease, and amylase—enzymes that help digest fats, proteins, and carbohydrates. These enzymes assist in breaking down food as it passes through the digestive tract. • Fibrosing Colonopathy: A rare bowel disorder known as fibrosing colonopathy has been reported in a small number of children with cystic fibrosis who were taking large doses of pancreatic enzymes.
